BodyAwake® Yoga
What is BodyAwake® Yoga?
Yoga can make you feel really good. After a class, many people feel more energised and at the same time calm and relaxed.
BodyAwake® Yoga, based on the work of Dr. Sue Morter and the Morter Institute, exceptionally integrates biomechanics with bioenergetics. Conscious breathing is the foundation of the practice.
When we move, breathe and lovingly embrace tension in the body, the mind begins to soften. We step out of repeated thought patterns and feel more open, confident, strong, comfortable and at peace. Everyone deserves to feel this way.
BodyAwake® Yoga is more than just exercise. It invites the mind to come home to the body. Through sacred geometries known as asanas (postures), the energy of the Universe is gathered, focused and intensified within your core. From this place, you can access deep inner wisdom, your truest desires and your most authentic self – allowing these energies to flow into every aspect of your life.
The intention of the practice is to help you tune in to your own body, so you can sense what movement feels right for you next, both on and off the mat.

How long have I been doing yoga?
I spontaneously started in 2021, following a YouTube channel and constantly pushing myself to improve. Instead of progressing, I became more frustrated and noticed little change in my body.
It was BodyAwake® Yoga – and especially the 200 RYS Teacher Training Certification Programme – that completely changed my relationship with yoga. Yoga became a part of my life. In fact, for me, yoga is life. Yoking the mind, body and breath is such a profound experience – one that no external thing can give us. Being able to stay open and present with anything that happens in life is truly liberating.
At the beginning, I couldn’t touch my toes in Forward Fold. I could barely bend forward with a straight spine at all. I struggled with balance, and my core muscles lacked strength. I was afraid to go upside down. I felt weak and stiff. Within a year of doing BodyAwake® Yoga, my body began to open up. I gained enough arm and core strength to the point where I can now do monkey bars with my kids- something I was never able to do, even as a child! I’m free to go on the swings without feeling dizzy straight away – I love swinging high! And these days, whenever I see a bar in the park, I can’t resist doing flips forwards and backwards.
Yoga opened up compassion towards my body
In March 2025, I returned to the UK with my family after a year of world travelling. We bought a wonderful house that needed a complete renovation, and we began the process shortly after moving in.
Anyone who has experienced a renovation knows it is a BIG thing. Living for months with constant noise, dust and mess can be intense. You need to stay deeply grounded in order not to lose yourself in it. Along the way, so much happens – dealing with builders, plumbers, electricians and roofers, unexpected setbacks, spiralling costs, and watching money disappear faster than you’d planned. Then there are children to care for, and the everyday responsibilities at home.
Throughout this time, yoga has been my anchor. I have also experienced a reversal of rosacea, and yoga has deepened my compassion not only towards my skin, but towards my whole body. BodyAwake® Yoga has been transforming the way I move, breathe, feel, and care for myself – and I am deeply grateful for it. (To find out more about me simply go here)
Now I hold space for you to experience that shift for yourself.
The body speaks to you – are you ready to pause and listen?
The soul speaks to the body, the body speaks to the mind, and the mind’s role is to listen. When we shift our attention from thinking to feeling and sensing, we enhance intuitive insight, support energetic flow and allow the physical body to restore and heal in its own timing. Releasing pressure around the when is essential!
I warmly invite you to join me and awaken to a new way of living
